Overview

The AV-5 is an economical Ground Plane base station antenna. It is ideally suited for use with Unicom transceivers and is field tune-able for the frequency band desired. The radial arm angle is designed to give optimum VSWR at the tuned frequency. Durably constructed of high quality materials for a long operational life, the antenna is designed to withstand wind speeds up to 100 mph.

Q: How does the AV-5 mount on the roof?

Please refer to the documents tabs as we added the install manual which will clarify.

Q: Rami says the connector is a SO239 which is female version of PL259. But you guys state that it’s PL259 which is the male side of SO239………. Sooo, which one is actually on this antenna? The female SO239 or male PL259?

The antenna will have the SO239 and requires the PL259 to connect.
