I had been concerned because of some problems others had. However, my switch worked with no problem and is exactly what I ordered. I have it paired with my headset and the Yaesu 550 radio. Everything works like a charm while I await my new Garmin radio.
Product needed to be adapted to fit into my panel wiring.
Took it apart to use the switch alone as a replacement part. So far so good.
Mic audio hi connected to the microphone jack in this assembly is NOT wire correctly. Same issue since 2016. Fresh out of the box PTT button intermittently sticks closed. This product is due for a revision.
Unfortunately, these PTT switches do not work. I have tried them in three different aircraft. When plugged in the mic is not connected to the intercom unless the PTT switch is pressed, which of course also mean your are transmitting. As far as I can tell, they are simply wired incorrectly.
