Overview

Aeroquip Firesleeve was specially developed to meet the fire resistance requirements of FAATSO - C53a OR TSO - C75. May be used for all fuel, oil, hydraulic, fire extinguisher & propeller feathering lines. "Fire-proof" hose lines as defined by FAA must withstand a direct flame for fifteen minutes under specified flow conditions without failure. Fire-resistant lines must withstand a 5-minute exposure under these conditions.

Fire-proof hose lines are obtained when the proper size Aeroquip Firesleeve is selected from the chart below and properly assembled. 900591B Clamps - used to secure firesleeve material on each end over the basic hose assembly.

See chart for correct size.

Sold by the foot.

AE102 firesleeve is used to meet the fire resistance requirements of FAA TSO-C53a and TSO-C75. This firesleeve can be identified by its orange colored outer surface. It functions effectively within a continuous operating temperature range of -65 degree to +450 degree.

This item fits and works great. The inside is soft and will flex when the hose sides into the fire sleeve. I just cut with scissors the full length of hose with fittings on and this will cover any bends of your hose. If sleeve is to long just push back and the slack will go back down the hose and still look great. One thing I found when installing the sleeve on a long hose was to use a long air blow tube from the air compressor line and insert it down the hose between the fire sleeve and the hose that the fittings are already on. I found that the blow tube should be on the end of the sleeve in the direction of travel. Blow air and just side the sleeve up the hose with now problem. I also used plugs at both ends to keep contamination out of the hose
