Lone Star Aviation’s Magneto filter (FEED THRU) (Fail Safe Design) attenuates both low and high frequencies of noise generated from bendix magneto ignition systems. The firing of the aircraft spark plugs through the ignition systems harness can cause noise problems and interference to aircraft electronics such as audio panels, radio equipment, navigation equipment, instrumentation, and autopilot systems on board an aircraft. This filter has been used by avionics shops, OEM aircraft manufacturers, and FBO’s, to attenuate and suppress pulsating noise generated by their aircraft’s magneto systems. The magneto filter is FAA-PMA approved and is compatible with the bendix series S20, S21, S200, D3000, D4000 magneto. |
I have not flown the airplane since the capacitors were installed. Check back with me in a couple of weeks.

Per the supplier: The Magneto Filter is not designed for use with Slick Mags. Our Magneto Filters are only eligible on select Bendix mags (S20, S21, S200, D2000 and D3000). If your customer is picking up audible noise in his headsets, I might recommend using our Eliminator Filter (Part # 11-08055), in line on the power to the radio.
Yes. You will need one filter per mag.
This unit has a pigtail with a connecting terminal, and a screw with a knurled nut, as pictured.
You would use one per magneto.
Yes, it could be used for that application.
