Novus Plastic Polish # 2 64 Oz
I never allow anybody but me or a hired professional to clean my windshield but it happened once when I couldnt stop it and, wouldnt you know it, he left scratches all over the windshield. A friend told me about Novus #2 and I was skeptical but did as he suggested. The first application session (3 applications in sequence) took out most of the scratches and it seems likely that I can get them all out with another session or two. Easy to apply and effective without using any polishing machines that can cause problems.
Windshield was cloudy and sun stained, as aircraft had been hangered in an open front, south facing building for years. Had previously tried several standard aviation windshield cleaners, and found they cleaned the windscreen fine, but the cloudiness remained. I ordered this and a micromesh kit at the same time, thinking I would give this a try before commiting to the full micromesh treatment. The result was absolutely amazing! Removed approx 75% of the cloudiness on the first application! I will use again and I'm confident clarity will be back to new in three applications. Anyone need a micromesh kit?
Wotks well for removing light scratches So I bought a 64 ounce bottle to refill my 8 ounce bottle that is carried in the plane. The 64 ounce bottle cap is large and the cleaner is very thick so it is difficult to make the transfer into the small opening of the 8 ounce bottle.
My Comanche windshield has circular scratches, most likely caused by someone using paper towels. This stuff removed some of the finer scratches, but no matter how long and hard I rubbed it didnt get them all. Maybe I need #3.
