PBS Prep is formulated for use before each PBS Boot Sealant application to avoid dulling and hard to remove build-up. PBS Prep will effectively clean pneumaticde-ice boots of all old treatments assuring the best results possible when applying PBS Boot Sealant. Failure to prepare de-ice boots with PBS Prep may result in dulling due to build-up.
Light Plane Maintenance Magazine says, "Make no mistake, the PBS Boot system is the best boot treatment we've ever seen. The results are nothing short of stunning. PBS Boot Sealant tested against competitors products, was found to be far superior in both results and ease of application." AOPA Magazine says in May 2000 issue, "So far the best product we've used on boots is PBS made by Jet Stream." |
Gets the job done. A no brainer, very effective cleaner.
Pbs Prep (Boot Cleaner & Prep)
This product works great to strip old PBS boot sealant from the aircraft and makes reapplication of the PBS boot sealant a breeze. Coupled with a blue kitchen sponge, all the black oxidation comes right off your old boot and saves a lot of time.

Great cleaner
Pbs Prep (Boot Cleaner & Prep)
The Best product for this purpose.
Prepped the surface as advertised.
I have been putting PBS sealant on my boots without getting the effect I wanted. I decided to use the PBS prep to strip down the layers of old sealant right down to the bare rubber. I then put 3 coats of sealant down after the stripping and now the boots shine like new. I was amazed at how well this product worked. Even though this is a good product, it is very hard work to strip the old sealant. I used heavy duty paper towels, saturated with PBS prep and just let it sit on the boot for 15 minutes. This softened up the old sealant and with and with a scrub sponge, I was able to remove the old sealant and the wash it all off with clean water. They look terrific!! Great product!
