This switch works well, and the cable is just the right length for a Long EZ. However, the switch is relatively inexpensive, and only seems to last about 3 years before needing replacement.

Q: Is the Westach Eng analyzer kit (part #10-17300) legal for certified aircraft?

The Westach Engine Analyzer Kit includes Part numbers 10-01241, 10-01244 and 10-01225. These are non-TSO'd and are not approved for certified aircraft.

Q: What does kit 10-01065 consist of? Is it the switch with 4 EGT probes? It is not very clear from the description.

It is the switch plus 3 probes.

Q: What hole size does the switch require? What is the diameter of the disk containing the cylinder numbers?

Hole size is .370". Switch plate diameter is 1.75". Switch body is 1.1" diameter. Threaded shaft is about 1/4" long

Q: What kind of connector is used to connect to the switch?

This has a push on pin/socket style connectors.
