This part was labeled incorrectly. All other circuit breakers have the LINE terminal on the top and LOAD terminal on the bottom.

I ordered it as a replacement for an identical one that failed with less than 15 hours on it. Well see how it goes, its survived 2 hours of operation so far.

Q&A

Please note, Aircraft Spruce Canada's personnel are not certified aircraft mechanics and can only provide general support and ideas, which should not be relied upon or implemented in lieu of consulting an A&P or other qualified technician. Aircraft Spruce Canada assumes no responsibility or liability for any issue or problem which may arise from any repair, modification or other work done from this knowledge base. Q: Can you use these with a switch guard? I want to use two of these to run two fuel pumps and want to guard them whilst on so they cannot be bumped off. But - Can they still trip against the guard?

The arm is the same length as a toggle switch that would be used with at switch guard, so it "should" work fine. If the switch/breaker is positioned to be on when the guard is down, it would stay on until the guard is lifted and manually turned off. Remember each application is different and we cannot guarantee that it will work in all application or situations.

Q: Are these CB toggle switches FAA/PMA?

These toggle switches are commercial and have no FAA approval by themselves. They are commonly approved by the airframe approval if they were OEM on certificated aircraft. Please confirm in your parts manual or with you A&P to determine whether these can be used in your airplane.

Q: Can these breaker/switches be legally used to replace fuses in vintage certificated aircraft?

These toggle switches are commercial and have no FAA approval by themselves. They are commonly approved by the airframe approval if they were OEM on certificated aircraft. Please confirm in your parts manual AND with you A&P to determine whether these can be used in your airplane.

Q: These are marked load & line. Do they not require a ground wire? Thanks!

The line side is receiving power and the load side goes to the unit.

Q: if this item cannot be reset after an overload, how does it work again

It is not able to be reset while under an overload, if its is not overloaded it can be reset.

Q: Do these breakers have a trip indicator?

These do not have a visible trip indicator per the data sheet.
