I am using the docking station as I reply to you. It works very well. If you have one for a Garimin GNC 300XL, I would be interested in it. John

Works great and saves time and expense adding flight time to the aircraft when you can be in the office getting familiar with the 430, approach set up or programming your individual routes. Good investment !

It works at turning the 430 on, but a couple things I just don’t get? - There’s a tab on the bottom of the 430 that locks it into the airplane with an Allen key. The Commander doesn’t accommodate that tab, so the tab scrapes the Commander underneath the 430 and prevents the unit from sitting flat in the bay. Also the 430 has its own internal cooling fan underneath with air channels on each side. The Commander blocks these channels, keeping air from getting in, and causing a noticeable pitch change in the cooling fan as it struggles to get air.
