Q: What type coax is used with the GA 35 antenna and what type connector is on it?
It is recommended that you use RG 400 or RG 142 with this GPS antenna. It has a female TNC connector so you will need a male RG400/142 TNC connector.
Q: Can a single GA35 be used to drive both a GNS 530W and a GNS 430W? If so, what kind of splitter?
We recommend using two antennas for your application. We do not offer any GPS antenna splitters.

The GA 35 does not come with a doubler plate nor is there one available for purchase.

Per the GTN 750 installation manual, yes, the GA 35 antenna will interface with the GTN 750.

The GA 35 is only a WAAS GPS antenna and does not have any VHF reception capability.
Q: Will this Garmin GA 35 antenna work with the Garmin GNS 530w?
Yes, this antenna will work with the GNS WAAS series.
Q: Can this antenna Garmin GA35 be mounted on the glareshield of an aircraft with clear view of the sky when used for a Garmin G5? Or does it have to be mounted on the exterior of the aircraft?
For a glareshield mount, it is recommended to use the GA 26C rather than a GA 35.
Q: Can the GA 35 antenna work with the G5 and an Aera 660?
The Aera 660 does not have any connectors to connect a GA 35 antenna. You can tie in the 660 to the G5, but would need to use the power data cable found under part # 10-06028

The GA 35 is a WAAS GPS antenna and the 250xl does not use WAAS GPS data.

Yes, 11-15368 is a standard Male TNC connector that will mate with the female TNC of the GA 35 antenna.
Q: Does the Garmin GA35 antenna include an 8130 form in the box?
No. The box will include the Certificate of Conformance and the unit itself is stamped with FAA-PMA, TSO, and STC markings. For 8130-3 export form, it will need to be requested at the time of order and additional charges will apply.
Q: Does this GA35 antenna replace the GA56W WAAS antenna that has been discontinued? Is so, what are the differences?
The ga 56 is not a waas antenna and was used for the garmin gns 430/530 series units. When the gns 430w/530w as well as the gtn 650/750 series units came out garmin certified them with the replacement antenna the ga 35 waas antenna.
Q: Does this Garmin GA 35 antenna need a gasket between it and the aircraft skin? If so, do you sell them?
This does not come with a gasket, when installing this antenna applying sealant should be sufficient for installation.
Q: Can the GA 35 couple with the TruTrak Sourcerer auto pilot as a GPS source?
No the Trutrak Sorcerer is not a GPS receiver. You will need a GPS receiver connected to the autopilot controller.
Q: Can this GA 35 be used for Sirius XM satellite radio directly? I already have this antenna connected to my Avidyne IFD 440. However, I am wondering if I purchase a 2nd one if I can go directly to my Sirius Satelite radio (Radio only not connected to any navigation equipment) I believe my sirius uses SMB jack and I could get a TNC to SMB adapter.
No. The GA 35 is strictly a WAAS GPS antenna. It has no SiriusXM capabilities. Please see part # 11-05824 for a dual function WAAS GPS/XM antenna.
Q: Can the GA 35 be used with the RCA 1510 digital heading indicator?
Yes, the GA 35 can be used as a GPS antenna, you will need a coax cable with a Male TNC for the antenna and an SMA connector for the unit side.
Q: If I install both a Garmin G5 using the GA35 GPS and the Garmin GDL 82 can one share the WAAS GPS data to the other? or do I need TWO GA35s??
You can share the antenna but please be sure to read through the installation manual for proper installation/wiring.
Q: Do I need to use the GPS 20A if Im going with the GTX 45R in a G3X system?
You will need an approved WAAS GPS source. The gps 20a can be used for this. As can the 345r with built in waas, a gns 430w, gtn 650, gps 175, and a variety of other waas sources.
Q: Got a Garmin GTX-335 from a boneyard, but none of the antennas. Is this Garmin GA 35 antenna an approved WAAS GPS antenna for the 335?
If the GTX 335 you acquired has a built in WAAS module, then yes, this antenna is the correct one to supply GPS to the 335.

No, it will not. This is meant for GARMIN units only.

Per Garmin: there is no standard gasket for the installation. We recommend using a sealant.

The GPS antenna should be mounted no closer than two feet from any VHF COM antenna or any other antenna which may emit harmonic interference at the L1 frequency of 1575.42 MHz.
