Bought for PA28-235. Pros: perfect fit, clean & simple process to replace. The overhaul shop was very courteous & their tracking #s works well with Spruces system. Con: previous one didnt last long, less than 400 hrs in just under 4 years. Excellent services by the overhaul shop and team at Spruce.
3656624R Overhauled Chrysler Alternator
Failed after 105 hours and 8 months. Spent more on this Hartzell thinking it would last longer. Warranty was 6 months and 250 hours, but didnt know warranty terms until they had me ship the alternator to them.. then they emailed back saying out of warranty and they shipped it back on my dime. I dont even think they looked at the alternator. So on top of the labor to swap another alternator, which isnt cheap.. I spent another $35 shipping for them to tell me it was out of warranty. In the end I purchased a much cheaper overhauled Falcon unit.. looks the same, feels the same, maybe it will work longer. Who knows.
