This box is identical to the standard cabin heat box, P/N DL-001, except that the air intake is parallel to the firewall rather than coming straight in from the heat muff. This gives the builder the option of running scat tube parallel to the firewall. Total weight is 5.2 ounces and has a 2" inlet/outlet port. Furnished with a flange gasket and four mounting rivets. Can also be bolted to firewall. |
Worked as advertised. Combined this with the Turbo Heat Muff and installed in a Mustang II.
This is a pretty well made box but the clicking for the control arm is horrible. Cannot simply connect a Bowden cable directly through the firewall to control like others. Have to come in from below (problematic for right applications) and loop up with a security point. Would return if I could. Also when you secure the unit to the firewall it pinches the control valve arm and binds a bit

There is a flap attached to an arm that opens and closes the hole to the cabin. You will need to attach a control cable to the arm to open and close it from the cabin.
You may need the standard version(08-04000) for your application.
