The Hornet-45 is designed for preheating the engine or cockpit area with a 120V/250W AC.
Aircraft Heaters represent the most safe and reliable aircraft engine preheater and cabin heaters ever developed. These heaters are designed to safely heat your engine in environments that are considered to be dangerous locations. The Hornet Heater line uses the most advanced, self-temperature regulating, semi-conducting material developed. Because the Hornet Heaters are hand built, the user can select the thermostat temperatures. The two-stage operation also reduces amp inrush by sequencing the heaters. Perhaps the most important feature of the Twin heating system is the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the possibility of both heaters failing simultaneously is almost nonexistent and one heating circuit will provide enough heat to prevent engine damage. The unit is equipped with a switch that provides the user with a means to test the operation of each heating circuit independently. Other important features include a non-conductive fire rated fiberglass housing, mil-spec wiring, and an industry leading 3-year warranty. These Heaters are made in the United States. Designed as if your life depended on it - because the life of your engine may. |

I fly all year round and living in the north we need heat. Between the engine heater the Switcheon and this cabin heater preheating the whole plane is super easy.
Hornet 45 Cockpit Heater 700 Watt
The heater works great. When I get to the airport the plane is ready to go. It comes with a long cord so no extension cord needed.
Hornet 45 Cockpit Heater 700 Watt
Works.
Hornet 45 Cockpit Heater 700 Watt
VERY WELL BUILT, AND RELIABLE HEATER. USED 3-OF THESE HEATERS THE PAST 3-SEASONS ON BEECH 18 WORKING IN COLD COUNTRY. THE OWNER WILL ANSWER YOUR PHONE CALLS TOO IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS.
Great cabin heater for those in winter climates without heated hangars.
A $30 heater from a hardware store does the same thing and is the same size. This has a 40 cord that you cant close the door or window it passes through you need to stuff a sponge into the hole. Why spend $300 plus the cost of the sponge? If I had to do it over - Ide go with $30 heater from the hardware store or the Tanis. What was I thinking?
