Randolph Y-9910 Universal Retarder Gallon
Retarder is used to prevent dope blushing on humid days, but it is also great to slow drying down on hot days. I used 25% with the color dope and found my wet edge lasted long enough to completely paint a fuselage and my wet edge remained as I progressed from one side to the other with no overspray showing anywhere! Just added a new trick to my book of painting tricks! JJ Sinclair
Works to eliminate blushing in high humidity conditions. Also increases gloss and leveling.
I was having blushing in the color coats and clear coats. I added an ounce of retarder to the clear and the blushing is gone. South Louisiana is very humid in the summer.
