Item number 09-02550 is a perfect color match for early Continental post WWII engines like A65 thru C200 with a silver gold tint. Continental change to a more gold coloring with their newer engines. AP/IA

Q: Do you need to use primer before using the aerosol version of this product or can you apply this to bare metal?

This can be applied to bare metal, but primmer is recommended.

Q: People here seem to be confused on the color of continental gold. There have been two Continental golds over the years. The Old Continental Gold is an actual gold color (very ugly in my opinion and will make your new engine look very dated. New Continental Gold is more of a silver/slightly bronzy and is the color that TCM is sending all their new engines out with. What is being sold here is the New Continental Gold. I hope this clears up the confusion.

Thank you for providing this feedback. We will post it for other customers.

Q: can this paint be used to paint engine baffling on a cessna 150?

Yes it can be used on engines and engine parts.

Q: Is this Superflite enamel considered hazmat for shipping?

Yes, it is considered hazmat for shipping.
