The Gill Electric Company was founded by Mr. Lawrence Gill in 1920, in Redlands, California, where the factory remains today. At that time, Gill Electric manufactured lead-acid batteries for the automotive industry. During the war years, Gill manufactured batteries for military ground vehicles and aircraft; some of these batteries are still in production today. Gill Electric improved the drycharged process which provides a fresh charged product when the electrolyte is added. Gill has become the OEM "original equipment battery" for Raytheon, Cessna, LearJet, Mooney, Piper, Ayres, Airtractor, Maule, Scheizer and others in the aviation industry and Gill continues to be the industry's choice for quality battery products. |

EXCELLENT
Gill Battery Without Acid G-246
I have a Gill G-246 in my Cessna 421B that is now 7 years old (careful attention to servicing fluid level and not abusing). Never used a battery minder on it but fly at least every other week. Has been a great battery (3rd one I have owned in 25 years of ownership of this aircraft. Highly recommended. GSS

Gill has a 12 month, 12,000 hour warranty on their G-200 series batteries. A claim within the first 6 months or 300 hours is a full warranty, and a claim between the 6 and 12 month period, or 1200 hrs, is a pro rated coverage. Batteries have lasted much longer than the warranty period, but it depends on the recommended maintenance and conditions the battery has during this time.
There are too many environmental, maintenance, and usage issues to answer this. These have a 2 year warranty, the first 6 months are full replacement and then it is prorated after that.
