The Aircraft Timing Indicator Model E25 is a unique device that locates the relative relationships between the crankshaft, magneto point openings, camshaft and valve timing. Easily attached to the propeller spinner with mounting bands that are included with the unit, the E25 quickly and accurately (within ½ degree!) locates top dead center. The result: the all-aluminum Model E25 speeds up and improves the process of timing magnetos to the engine. |
I haven’t had the chance to use this yet. I bought it to replace the one I had. They work well finding TDC. It is easy to use.

Works like a flower pot should. The needle moves much more freely than the well-loved old unit I borrowed last year. The sparkplug-fitting timing plug is surprisingly well machined.

Good product. Doesn’t fit Cessna 172M prop spinner without modification. Still working on that.

Great product! Engine must be level (as if airplane is in flight)! Conventional gear airplanes will require the tail raised appropriately. Also, in case your wondering why you Must do the math correctly , it is because the engine stop plug is indiscriminately screwed into #1 cylinder (it is possible to use without the engine stop plug by determining exact top dead center with a screwdriver or socket extension), in which case , just set dial to TDC upon determining TDC on compression stroke! have had one for a long time, cant find one one needs repair

Made timing much easier, especially on the old continentals where the timing marks line up on the bottom of the case. Would suggest putting a rag over spinner, the sharp aluminum left small scratches the first time I used it.
Works like a champ! Simple easy to use. Simple, easy to follow instructions come with it.
