SAF-AIR designed its line of flush mounted fuel drain valves to be an exact replacement for the Auto Valve F391 line of flush fuel drain valves. Unlike the Auto Valve, SAF-AIR valves can be rebuilt. These valves offer a dependable, low-cost solution when a flush mount is needed. FAA & TSO-C76 approved |
Always good to keep a spare. The lower o-ring on mine broke and fuel was steadily coming out. Luckily I had a spare. The newer ones are made such that the o-rings cannot be replaced. (Ham handed folks in the past rammed the plunger up so hard that it broke the clip....so the new ones are necked down at the top to retain the plunger. ).
Saf-Air Fuel Drain Valve SA53S, 7/16-20
I have ordered from ACS&S from the USA for many years. I have always been treated well and with priority. I had NOT ordered from the aussie shop before. The Aussie price was quite reasonable, frankly not at all as high as I feared prices might be. I was delighted to get my item only 4 days after ordering for a tiny delivery cost. I have a need to upgrade several homebuilt aircraft cable systems to comply with CASA directives. After my great expeience I will be getting my supplies from the aussie branch of ACS&S I will most definately be a repeat customer here. FIVE STARS!!

Per Saf-Air, SA72 is 7/16-20 thread, and uses O-ring p/n 04-02536.
SA72 uses M83248/1-012 | SA32 uses M83248/1-011
The SA187 has a smaller and thinner hex on the bottom of the valve. That is the difference between the two valves.
1144 steel.
They are the same thread size so you could use part # 05-00970. No additional o-rings are needed.
