Recording Tachometer Cable U1713-R325
Bon service Merci
Recording Tachometer Cable U1713-R325
Replaced my broken tach cable with this one in my 1946 J-3 Cub. Works great.
Recording Tachometer Cable U1713-R325
Ideal for my Cherokee PA28-180 (0-360A3A), instead of tired 486-570.
NOTE: This is a captive cable for the purposes of Mitchell tachometers. There is a shoulder that prevents the inner cable from sliding towards the tach any closer than 3/8 protrusion. Cable can be removed from sheath on engine side of cable only. Works good, but had to grind a little bit off the sides of the tach end of the inner cable so that it could physically fit into the tachometer drive hole.
Cable was the correct style for a pre-war Stewart & Warner gauge as used on Taylorcrafts, Aeronca, Luscombs, ect... Too short, however for my 41 BC-65 -- needs to be closer to 43 to clear the fuel tank.
Non-Recording Tachometer Cable U1713-N340

The recording cable has a different end on it for a recording tach. A recording tach has a built in hour meter.
It is 33" from ferrel to ferrel.
It is FAA/PMA approved.
If you hold the cable vertically looking at the keyed end, if the cable is wind is down from the left to the right it is left lay. If it is wound up from the left to the right it is right lay.
Part # 05-21950 is 34 inches long.
These would need to be greased before install.
Per the manufacturer: the customer will need to get with their A&P mechanic to determine what grease is needed.

The inner cable can be removed so we do not believe that it is a captive cable.
These cables will work for both per the vendor.
