Overview

In a continuing effort to reduce installation cost for aircraft owners upgrading to Artex 406MHz ELT systems, Cobham Avionics - Artex Products announces the release of the Artex 2-Wire Remote Interface System. This new product allows an upgrade to an Artex 5-Wire 406 MHz ELT using an existing 2-wire configuration. The 2-Wire Remote Interface allows two wires from the existing wiring harness to connect the cockpit remote switch to the ELT for simplified, cost-efficient installation.

Safety conscious aircraft owners upgrading to Artex 406 MHz ELT technology now have the ability, with the Artex 2-Wire Remote Interface, to -re-use part of the existing wiring between the cockpit remote switch and 121.5 MHz ELT. The ME406 ACE is a retrofit for current ACK or Ameri-King 121.5 MHz ELTs and comes complete with a remote switch and adapters to utilize existing wiring.
