It includes a GPS receiver that is used to provide ground speed and range information, as well as a backup/control for the AHRS. If you do not select the SP-4 attitude sensor, you can still have a GPS-derived bank angle display! You can use it as...
Some might use it for just 1 function, or you could use all functions! Upcoming functions (free software upgrade later this year): Basic GPS navigation (waypoints, routes, CDI (no moving map)), and Internal Autopilot (just add servos and connection module). 1 RDAC is required for engine functions to work. |
Took me a bit to put together the daisy chain installation process but once I got that figured out, turned into a one-day project to install the Xtreme, the RDAC, the Magnetometer and the AHRS. Really enjoying the new upgrade to my Sonex cockpit and everything works well. Nice visuals, easy to understand interface, great feedback on engine monitoring as well. Definitely recommend.
Good unit. Simple install. The CAN bus makes add ons very easy to install.
