Overview

The TA70 GPS position source antenna is a conventional GPS antenna, certified to TSO-C190, and designed for external mounting on an aircraft’s fuselage upper surface. The TA70 is light weight and comes with a weatherproof gasket seal, making installation easier and providing coverage of existing antenna holes, giving a secure and weather tight seal.

The TA70 antenna is well suited to the needs of high wing, metal aircraft where antenna positioning on the upper surface results in highly effective and dependable GPS reception. The TA70 is popular in both certified and experimental aircraft and is included as standard in the Trig TN72 ADS-B bundle, and can also be paired with the TN70 GPS receiver. . For certified aircraft owners in North America, Trig offers a free FAA STC for the TA70 – this makes it straight forward to use in numerous popular airplane types.
