SAE Male Elbow 69Sm-04 X 02

I have ordered these before. On my last order, the parts I received had different dimensions, my ASE wrenches did not fit and my metric wrenches were not any better. I used a Crescent wrench to install them. I like the old style better

SAE Male Elbow 69Sm-04 X 02

These are perfect for your brakes. You do not need a ferrel for the 3/16 size. Do not over tighten and they will work great.

These do not work with the nylaflow tubing for 3/16 size. There is no tubing insert so theres nothing for the sleeve and nut to compress onto. If you installed these as-in, your tubing will collapse and leak. None of the SAE fittings in 3/16 size have inserts, not just these male elbows. This makes them all unusable. Interestingly the 1/4 size fittings have the inserts and work just fine. I came back to Aircraft Spruce to see if they just forgot to include the inserts, but was told inserts are not supplied with the fittings from their supplier. Pretty frustrating.

Q: What thread form do these fittings use?

The fittings have pipe thread on one end and a compression nut for the tube on the other end.
