This will be used as part of a high pressure air plumbing project on a 2.5 inch to the foot model.of a 1920s era 3 foot gauge railroad freight car I am building, for a working air brake installation. I still.need to.locate and purchase the correct thread pipe thread tap and did for this tube size though. I am very pleased with Aircraft Spruce response and service to.my orders!!!!

First shipment of this item was wrong size tube. Second shipment was misdelivered by carrier and a trace was started by Aircraft Spruce! I got impatient and ordered again, that shipment of the third piece arrived next day. Then I received a Return Shipping label for the original incorrect tube received. Sent that back and next day received the second piece of correct tube, so I now have both correct tubes I paid for plus the Catalog I also requested! I am very happy with Aircraft Spruce response and service!!!!

It arrived quickly, but the shipment had a separate problem that took two weeks to sort out. I have already converted the One foot long piece into the spacer bushings I needed with the help of a friends machine tools. Ive absolutely no complaints regarding the product. The pain comes when we discuss shipping expenses. The ad. says free shipping on orders $350 or more. The fine print says except on over sized orders. Define over sized. Generally not in AS&S control. Still, I drop an order for $400 and pay nearly $200 in shipping. The good news is, I place the order late on a Sunday night, choose the lowest cost ground transportation for shipping and the orders begin arriving on Tuesday of the same week. AS&S is always my go to for building needs.

I needed some 3/4 O.D. tubing to reinforce an appliance that would help my son-in-law get onto and off of the toilet. I had to shorten the width of the appliance by about an inch so that it would fit into the area where it was needed. I ordered the tubing on a weekend and received it in a couple days. The tubing was a good fit inside the original tubing and worked well. My son-in-law who was extremely weak from fighting pancreatic cancer is using the appliance and extremely grateful. I too am grateful. Aircraft Spruce has always done well by me.

I ordered 1 x.0.65 cro-moly for a bicycle that I am building I needed front fork material.It arrived at my house in a timely manor. Good quality tubing. Very happy to see the Plymouth name printed on the side. I use this for building bicycle frames and it does everything its supposed to. My first shipment of 8, mixed-size, tubes via UPS resulted in me receiving an empty box. The end flap had broken open and the tubes apparently came out in transit. I was disappointed with UPS for delivering an empty box but fortunately, the team at Aircraft Spruce were extremely understanding and responsive. The 2nd shipment was all in order. The cut-to-length service and extensive selection of 4130 and stainless steel tubing available from Aircraft Spruce is second to none.

Service and delivery is excellent as usual. But I have asked before that who ever is in charge of shipping to love of GOD stop wrapping the worlds worst shipping tape and labels on the tubing. I have to use razor blades and brake cleaner to get the stuff off. Taking 10 to 20 mins per tube is frustrating . Again everything else you guys do is great.

What was needed in a timely manner that met specifications that needed a bit of clean up.

I ordered 4 lengths of .625 diameter (.028 wall thickness) by 1 foot ( 12 inches) long of 4130 tube, Order No. 3773051, shipped 02/04/20. You actually sent me 3 pieces (.028 inch wall and 1 piece of .035 inch wall). I accepted the .035 wall tube as the return shipping costs and logistics were not worth the trouble and expense by returning it to Aircraft Spruce . I was able to use the 3 (.028 inch wall) tubes, but not the .035 inch wall. Substituting the .035 wall tube is the reason for 4/5 (80%) Stars versus 3/4 (75%) for 3/4 correct pieces received as ordered. I may order more pieces @ 36 inches long in the near future, but will not accept incorrectly sized items at that cost. Regards, M. Franssen

This tubing is great stuff. Working out just fine. The reason for the four stars is the way it was shipped. Four pieces were cut to length with a chop saw and the ends were not deburrd. The box was opened but all the pieces were still there in good shape. The reason the box got opened was the burs cut through the box. I cut the palm of my hand handling the box. Ordering and service at Aircraft Spruce is really great. Ill will continue to use them in the future.

I tried to bend this thickness in a tubing bender but was unable to. Next Ill try .049 and if it wont bend then Ill try .035. ( for aircraft control sticks to provide clearance from the instrument panel when full forward )

If you need it to go through a 1/4 hole it requires further machining by a few thousands, which was not what i wanted to do. Also re.shipping expense, I did not know that you could submit your unpaid order and request different shipping method. My 1 piece went ups consequently. Much more expensive than usps First Class

order wrong.... got one 3/4 by .049 4 long the other one was 3/4 by .035 4 long.... they were both supposed to be 3/4 by .049 4 long
