Part number 05-00711 is a kit of two O-rings for the GAS125 Gascolator, one is the seal between the bowl and the body of the Gascolator, and the other is the filter retention O-ring. Part number 05-00712 is a replacement screen for GAS125. |
This is the correct Andair o-ring that comes in Andairs factory packaging and is the same you would get if you ordered direct from Andair however, it is a poor fit. The grove it is going in is 2.5mm X 39mm. The o-ring is 2mm X 39mm. Since the o-ring is a loose fit it often gets caught and damaged when the bowl is inserted into the receiver. It also provides minimal sealing contact. I have found that a 2.5mm X 36mm o-ring (Viton 75, which is the correct material from Andair), provides a much better fit and seal and is far less likely to be damaged when installed. This is after I damaged multiple Andair o-rings and then went on a hunt for a better fit and tried literally dozens of different sizes.
Absolutely NOT usable. The larger O-ring is about 40mm in diameter while 36mmx2.5mm is required. After buying the Andair kit at $9.95 I bought and was unable to use, I found a package of 5(large o-rings) for $4.95, that worked fine, by Spartan Industrial from Amazon. These have a shelf life of 20 years. My overall experience with Andair, has been horrible, (I bought their fuel selector valve, gascolator, fuel pump, and fuel filter). Their service is all but nonexistent, and have I never seen a company that is less responsive to customer needs,it took me almost three months of calls, emails and begging to get an answer as to which port I needed to finish my installation.
