This product worked like a charm. Use a little silicon lube to help it slide in.

Second time purchased . Decent to install. Only difference from a couple years ago was the price that increased substantially. Either way great quality product.

The old ones where dry and worn. The new ones from Aircraftspruce fit perfectly. Dont forget to use soap to lubricate, it is tight.

Easy to install on PA28R200. Looks so much better now! Just don’t do one wing in the Fall and wait to do the other in the Spring like I did unless you properly store the seal over the winter. (A mouse nibbled on the edge of the seal right in the mid portion and I had to replace with a new one). Easier to install on a hot day because the rubber is more pliable.

As described. Is narrower than what was on the plane, but still wide enough. Took less than an hour to remove the old seal and install the new one.

Perfect fit and installation on 1970 PA28R. Like others have recommended, I used a heat gun to warm it a bit first and a wooden paint stir stick to push it into place. Took less than 30 minutes per side to complete.

Fits perfect on the Wingroot of my PA-24 260B. Did it by myself and took about 2 hrs per wing. But honestly, its NOT complicated

Prompt shipping and good communication- seal was well packaged, very pliable and easy to install on my 68 Cherokee. There was enough length to have a little extra to trim off when completely installed. Getting the old seal off was much harder than installing the new one!

I am pleased with this piper wing root seal on my Cherokee six. Probably took me an hour to hour and a half to install both sides with a plastic scraper and a spray bottle of soapy water. They look great and feel softer than other brands

This is a really nice product. Soft, flexible and easy to install. Best of all, when it’s done it looks like you knew what you were doing.

The seal is made of a supple rubber that is easy to bend of fold as necessary to fit in the gap between the wing and the fuselage. The width of the seal is perhaps a bit narrower than the original seal, so it may allow a slight gap between the seal and the wing walk.
Soapy water and a plastic trim tool (https://smile.amazon.com/Manfiter-Removal-Pry-Kit-Fastener-Upholstery/dp/B07PZ6H16Y/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=plastic+trim+tool+set&qid=1567682150&s=gateway&sr=8-9 ) help greatly in sliding the seal into the gap. The plastic trim tool can be used to apply pressure on the round back side of the seal without damaging the paint. A pair of bent nosed pliers helped to pull the seal into position if too much pressure was used and the seal had slipped further into the gap than necessary.

I was able to do this in about 2 hours total time that is removing the old one, PIA and cleaning everything up I used a small 1 inch wide piece of dull metal to shove it in the crack without any lube at all, also it was cold as heck out, so the fuselage was probable at at a core temp of 20 degrees F

Very easy to install, with none of the problems people commonly describe when using other brands of wing root seal. Just push it into the gap using a screwdriver or similar tool, while in a warm hangar. No need to try to slide it in lengthwise. Some people recommend using soap or another lubricant, but we didnt even need that.

If you need to replace the wing root seal on a Piper Cherokee (PA-28) this is the one to get. It appears to be the same as the one installed in the factory. Do NOT purchase the other one that is for sale on this site (Part #05-00030) as that one is almost impossible to install and wont last. This is the one to get. Install it by smearing GoJo on it as you insert it along the gap between the wing and fuselage.

Fairly easy to work with and durable. Around the front curve of the wing root is a bit of a pain, but if 1 inch sections of the backing are cut, it’s fine.

Rating is not for the product, it is for the experience trying to get the correct seal- the silicone seal is a 5, the rubber is a 2. There are two piper wing root seals presented in your catalog. The 12 rubber seal I bought was $67, the other 12 one (00030) that is presumably silicone and 3/16 wider is listed at around $46 for 12 - what is wrong with that? The 25 silicone (00030-1) is $170 - something is wrong there too. No one could definitively straighten out the discrepancies. Ended up spending $137 for the 12 of seal that I needed when I may have been able to get by with $114.
