These tires are worth it. They hold air for a lot longer than ordinary tires and I seem to get much more life out of them. In this case you get more for your money.

When ever I needed to replace tires on my Aeronca Champ I have chosen GOODYEAR FLT SPEC . A very good and long lasting tire. The tire arrived in two days after ordering.

Aircraft Spruce Canada assumes no responsibility or liability for any issue or problem which may arise from any repair, modification or other work done from this knowledge base. Q: My 1956 C-172 has 6.00x6 4ply tires. I want to replace and considering the 6 or 8 ply tire. I have always considered the more ply is better especially for automotive applications. What is the downside to the 6 or 8 ply tire?

The higher the ply rating, the heavier the tire will be.

Q: When I select a brake pad on the airplane specific parts sheet am I ordering the required number of pads per wheel, both wheels, or just one pad?

These pads are priced and sold individually (one pad). You would need to order your required # of pads as the quantity. According to our data sheets, your aircraft requires 2 linings per brake assembly, so for both wheels a total of 4 pads would be needed. These do not come with rivets since these use steel pins that are part of the brake assembly.

Q: What is the weight of the 15X6.00-6 tire for homebuilts? Part # 06-00365

Approx 5.13 lbs.

Q: Can the Homebuilt tire, part # 06-00365, be used in a certified aircraft?

No, this unit does not meet the TSO to be used on a certified aircraft.

Q: What is the max load rating in lbs for the 15X6.00-6 tire for homebuilts? Part # 06-00365

This tire will have a max load rating of 570lbs.

Q: Is the 15X6.00-6 tire for homebuilts, Part # 06-00365, a tubeless tire?

No, this will be a tire that requires a tube.

Q: Is the Goodyear Flight Special II 6.00-6 tube type tire p/n 06-07300 the same as Goodyear p/n 606C61B1 ?

Part # 06-07300 is Goodyear model # 606C61-6.

Q: Is part # 06-01472 the premium retreads or normal? I notice that you added the word performance.

Yes, it is a High Performance Retread.

Q: What is the difference between an 15 x 6.00-6 and a 6.00-6?

The first number before the "x" indicates the tire's height or diameter when inflated and not under load. The middle number, that is the digits between the "x" and the "-," indicates the tire's width. So, the 15 x 600-6 specifically calls out the height as 15 inches. The standard 600-6 will be taller.

Q: I need to order a taxi light for a C150F. What are my options? Thank you.

The Cessna 150 uses a PAR36 style light. There are a few options, the most popular being the Parmetheus Plus 14v Taxi light, see our Part# 11-12977.
