Reviews

When my OEM Lamar voltage regulator failed I contacted Lamar Customer Service and was told they didnt have a replacement available for my OEM regulator. This Plane-Power regulator was offered as a possibility by Spruce Customer Service and it works perfectly replaced both the OEM regulator and the OEM over voltage relay, and is much more stable than the OEM Lamar regulator ever was since I have owned the airplane.

Used to replace my old InterAv regulator. Was more work than just replacing the regulator (some re-wiring) but works great.

I had been chasing alternator problems, it would come online then off again. My C172 (1965 F) had standard Cessna voltage reg and Electrodelta over voltage sensor. Narrowed it down to faulty Over voltage sensor. Cost to replace about same as plane power R1224-14v. Easy decision for me. Get rid of separate device and upgrade newer technology to all in one. Tech support was extremely knowledgeable on pre-purchase questions. Install was a breeze. Everything changed out and adjusted in less than 30 minutes, and no more alternator problems problems. I even got back my over/under voltage warning indicator that someone had disconnected who knows when? Even if it goes out in 3-5 years as some say, $190 bucks is a cheep throwaway, and I’ll be glad to get a new one.
