Worked great for my Cessna 150. Although inconsequential for my application, it has shorter leads than the original (as stated by the manufacturer), so keep that in mind.

Pricey little unit to bring light to the wing end tips! Don’t touch the bulb! They go out quicker! One item to keep in backup kit.

This is the perfect replacement for a Grimes Model E Strobe. Sometimes it’s hard to track down proper PNs, but this is the one for it.

Great replacement and received earlier than projected. The wiring was several inches shorter than the original one, but was not an issue.

Q: Im told that this A427 flash tube is a replacement for the Aeroflash 073-0270. Is the wiring pin-out the same or are (2) of the wires reversed. Some time ago I was told that Whelan and Aeroflash flashtubes were interchangeable as long as the wiring was reversed

Per the manufacturer, physically the lights are the same but the wiring must be verified before installation Whelen is unaware of the details of the Aeroflash wiring.

Q: Is this A427 flash tube a replacement for the Aeroflash 073-0171?

Whelen recommends using the A625 assembly as a replacement for the 073-0171.

Q: Can the A427 be used as a replacement for an 02-0250274-05?

Yes, they are identical except for the length of the leads.

Q: Is this A427 flash tube for 14V or 28v?

Its neither, it gets power from the power supply. As long as you have the power supply this would work on an aircraft with either voltage.

Q: Is this Whelen A427 for 24 volts system?

This requires an external power supply so the aircraft's voltage is not a factor.

Q: Is this a teardrop shape? Its hard to tell from the photo. Mine is definitely triangular. Im looking for a replacement strobe tube on a Cessna 182P.

Yes, this is a tear drop shape

Q: What is the wattage of this Whelen A427 strobe?

The strobe tube does not have a wattage The output is determined by the joules that is provided by the power supply.
