Overview

NULITEs are a revolutionary lighting system for aircraft instruments. They give the same lighting appearance as internal lighting kits at a fraction of the cost. NULITEs have a special bezel that focus light toward the instrument, preventing light from reflecting into the pilot’s eyes. When sandwiched between the instrument and panel, NULITEs reduce glare and “hotspots” by concentrating 60% of the light on the upper half of the instrument.

Will not work with DC to AC inverted systems

INSTALLATION MADE EASY
No special tools or equipment are required. NULITEs can be installed by anyone in just a few minutes; a simple log book entry is made by any certified pilot or mechanic. NULITEs are wired into any existing dimming system without the need for extra circuits, inverters, or remote boxes.

Very disappointed had incandescent lights in there before we renewed the panel thought the LEDs would be better but they’re not as bright as the incandescent and they only like half the instrument

Nulite Inst 14V LED 3 1/8 Inch Altimeter Cut Out

These work great. I read a review that said they weren’t happy because the lights were super dim. I had that issue also but realized I had ordered the 28v lights and needed the 14v. Once that change was made the gauge lite up beautifully. Very happy

I love the amount of light and the dimming adjustability with the rheostat. When installed properly its a sight to behold. Just make sure that if you are using some kind of panel overlay that you make sure that you account for the thickness of these units. I wish this comment system allowed for picture upload.

This product is easy to install (relatively) and works great as part of a panel lighting upgrade. Follow the directions and it works exactly as advertised. Less expensive than repairing the old incandescent technology in my piper arrow and much better.

Works well, but had to trim the bottom for clearance then black paint over the filed off area

Disappointed. They do not light up the bottom part of the instrument. I had the UMA lighted bezels before in a different aircraft and loved them. I thought these would be a similar unit but that is not the case. I would remove and return if I could, but once installed, you cant return for a refund.

Q: Do the Nulite LED lighting systems require an inverter and rheostat/dimmer for installation?

NULITEs are designed to be wired into any existing dimming system without the need for extra circuits, inverters, or remote boxes.

Q: What light color choices are there?

Color is white on all Nulite LED instrument lighting.

Q: Can the LED version of these be used in conjunction with the incandescent version, on the same dimmer?

To run both led and incandescent lights you will need a pulse width modulator part number 11-05738.

Q: Is there a Nulite with a cut out in the bottom middle for an artificial horizon?

Most artificial horizons have the knob inside the round of the gauge. Unless you have one that is outside the round, like how the altimeter is, then you shouldn't need a cutout. Most customers order the standard Nulite for artificial horizons.

Q: What is the difference between the Nulite with a left cut-out and the one for Altimeters?

The altitude cutout has a left knob cutout as well as clearance for the Kollsman Window Adjustment. The Left cutout just has a left knob cutout in it.

Q: What is the difference in the VSI 3-1/8 and the round 3-1/8 Nulite LED instrument lights?

the VSI version has specific measurements to fit that unit. The round lights do not have a cutout.

Q: What dimmer do you recommend with the Nulite LED system?

The dimmer that works well with this system is Part # 11-05738.

Q: Whats the amperage draw and Wattage on these for figuring rheostat?

These draw a maximum of 125 mA.
