Needed a new antenna for the GDL 82 installation, and this worked perfectly. The added stud length simplified installation through the cored-composite aircraft skin

Very good quality. I kept breaking the “TED” type bc of the antenna location when I would pull the cowl pins on my RV-7. I decided on the blade type since it is more durable.

Q: Hello, Is there a drawing with mounting details available for the Rami AV-74 transponder antenna? The outline drawing doesn't list mounting stud sizes. Thank you, Brian Geiger

Please visit our webpage again and under the documents tab there is an updated pdf with mounting stud sizes and mounting details.

Q: Can you clarify if this is the newer AV-74(-1) version (supporting ADS-B)?

Both versions of the AV-74 support ADS-B. The AV-74-1 is slightly larger and is available under part number 11-13996.

Q: Is this RAMI AV-74 antenna compatible with the GDL-82?

This antenna may work but it has not been tested by Garmin for the GDL 82. Please view P/N: 11-17965 CI-105 which is the same style antenna. You can also view the installation manual for the GDL 82 for more acceptable tested antennas.
