Bought for my 1977 Piper Archer, much better than the original tow bar. I can now push the plane back without concern of injury to myself as I had to with the original tow bar. Two things to note, the paint seems to be easy to flake off, but Im not really concerned about it. Also, this doesnt quite fit exactly in the original tow bar holder, but you can finagle it a bit and it should stay in all but the worst of turbulence.

Happy to get this TowBar purchased during my busines trip in USA, even more I was happy that this was well fitting in my luggage so no problems to bring it home in Finland. Quality of TowBar looks good painting work can be bit better.

Great transaction, towbar was as advertised and came quickly. My only caveat is that for a Saratoga with wheel fairings/skirts, the adapter needs to be cut down as the prongs are too long and hit the tops of the fairings and would damage in use. Also, this unit will not fit into the factory mount in the plane, need to modify, we used velcro straps.

Fits PA32 steering connection securely and doesnt come off until you want it too! My particular item has a slight defect, probably manufacturing, the handle telescopes and uses a pin to secure in either, use length or storage length. Pin only fits through all holes when bar is oriented one way. I have marked it for quick reference now! I thought it was some sort of joke when I first got it and tried to insert pin with no success, then rotating inner pole 180 degrees it fit. Spruce CS referred me to manufacturer and manufacturer said Spruce has to make exchange because you bought it from them all this after extended time on hold which is when I figured out the error.

Not as good as it looks. The prongs are 1/8 smaller than the holes they are going into, so it really slops around in an annoying way when maneuvering. I had the feeling that this is also going to deform the holes in the tow plate. The prongs are too long and dig into the paint and metal on the nose wheel fork. I dont think it can be ground down enough to fix this problem. Also very heavy. Feels very loose and sloppy in use.

Extremely disappointed. The prongs do not have enough bend and do not lock properly. A crap towbar at a premium price, that came with paint defects. I strongly advise you do not buy.

It looks like it should be a god product, however, it falls short. The prongs that hook into the nose gear are not even at 90*. They are only slightly angled and as a result, easily slip off when trying to steer the nose, whether pushing or pulling. I tried to bend them to achieve a better angle, but now the locking prongs do not engage properly. Still, it works better now that it did initially. I have some more tweaking to do before it will operate successfully.. For the price, I expected better. The welding looks shoddy and half-assed. At least it is covered well with paint. So much for this being a Deluxe towbar. Id hate to see what a standard or budget bar would look like.

Bought this to use with my PA-28-161. I love the length and the fact that it collapses for easy transport, but the angle of the prongs is terrible. The moment I put any torque on the bar to turn my nose wheel, one of the prongs will pop out. And even pulling it out of my hanger Ill lose a prong or 2. Im going to end up taking a torch to the prongs to give them a better gripping angle

I purchased this towbar for my 1979 Piper Dakota (fixed gear, Cherokee, PA28) but it did not work with the nose wheel fairing unless holes were cut in the fairing. Although AS agreed to refund the shipping cost TO ME. I had to pay the shipping costs back to them so best call the MFG directly to ensure it will work for your fixed gear Cherokee if you use wheel pants.

Took over 6 months to get - had to bend end of it to allow to fit because was too wide - works great now but what an ordeal!
