What makes our aviation windsocks different? Two major things make a windsock, its material and its construction. We start off with a premium nylon fabric that is made right here in the USA to our exacting standards. Nylon offers unparalleled windsock durability to the elements and will not become rigid in cold weather, keeping our windsocks extremely responsive in even the slightest of wind. From there it gets urethane coated and UV protected, giving the windsock superior fade resistance and color retention. The material is subjected to a variety of tests by an independent lab to verify its structural integrity and UV resistance. This superior material is then cut and sewn right here in our own facility. Our reinforced double stitched hems and heavy duty brass grommets, assures our windsocks long life reliability. Why do we go through the added expense of a superior material and manufacturing process? To meet our customers needs. These are just a few of our demanding windsock customers. AWS Windsock 18X96 Orange & White
Great product, swift delivery and fair price.
This windsock is very wellmade and sturdy. It was advertised as a 10 x 36 but it is actually 12 x 36...we measured on its arrival. We can buy a larger fixture.
Received windsock express within 2 days to Australia. Very quick service. The product is high quality .
The wind sock is made of strong material. It does what it is meant to do. It was packaged in bubble wrap and arrived in good order. The shipment did take 2 days longer than estimated, however it was ordered the week of Christmas.
Windsock appears to be well made and shipped really fast. I have purchased these before and the bright colors hold up well for several years before they fade.
Sturdy construction, came with zip ties. Good buy!
It was as advertised. It is already in use.

The 10" windsocks respond in very light winds as long as trees or buildings don't obstruct the wind flow. Calibrated windsocks start at 13" diameter.
18" diameter and 72" length.
No, these are the wind socks only. Frames and poles must be purchased separately.
No, this is just the windsock. For a complete set up, you will need a pole and frame as well as the sock.
These have a standard calibration. Alternating stripes of high visibility orange and white were initially used to help to estimate the speed of wind. Each stripe adds up 3 knots to the estimated wind speed. However, some circle frames mountings cause windsocks to be held open at one end, indicating a velocity of 3 knots, even though anemometers would show no wind speed. A fully extended windsock suggests a wind speed of 15 knots (28 km/h; 17 mph) or greater.
These are tapered. You would need the 24"x96" for that frame.
You would use the included zip ties to attach the sock to the frame.
This is not a calibrated windsock.
No, they are not.
