This glue is good for my product just wish it had a longer shelf life since I shut my shop down through the winter.
Cascophen Resourcinal Adhesive Quart
I have been using the cascophen (resorcinol) glue for years and have always been pleased. I have never had a failure. The “water cleanup” is very convenient. I have also found that with proper storage the one year “use by” date is a very very conservative recommendation.
I used this glue for my Osage bow handles! work great very pleased thanks
This stuff glue is so extreme strong. I am satisfied with this stuff. I would buy more.
Cascophen Resourcinal Adhesive Quart

Cascophen Resourcinal Adhesive Quart
The shipping, delivery, and price of the 1-qt order were excellent. The product is as anticipated.
I havent used it yet. But I did like the expedient service
The other review on this product has nothing to do with the product but with the shipping, so the one star rating it gives is not fair to the product. This is an excellent adhesive for gluing and laminating wood. It is truly waterproof and retains its strength in hot and humid or wet environments. It is also highly resistant to chemicals and solvents. As with any adhesive or laminating resin system, read and follow the instructions carefully, measure and mix carefully, be mindful of the working times and pot life vs ambient temperature, and Cascophen will yield excellent results. Highly recommended for aircraft woodwork and other select adhesive tasks per the instructions.
The products only flaw is the dark glue lines I get when joining white woods.

I am building a new set of hatches for my classic boat. I was looking for resourcinal to glue up some teak lumber. I removed the pieces from the clamps this morning. It is solid as a rock. I also glued up some test scraps. I used pliers to try to break the bond - the wood broke first. I will update this with a 5 star review after I see how the product performs over time, but Im very happy with the initial results. The package didnt include the mixing instructions, but they were easy to find and download on the Aircraft Spruce site.

It is a 5 to 1 mix ratio by weight.
Per the tech data sheet, it does not specify which color it dries. However, it does mention that Part B Hardener is tan in color.
Part A contains the described amount, example a pint, but after adding Part B, the kit yeilds a little more than described amount. In short this is a two part adhesive, and is mixed 5 to 1, and part A contains a pint, quart, etc.., but when mixed with part B you have 1/5 more usable material to glue parts with.
We have added the Tech Data and Instructions PDF to the "Documents" tab of this email. The mixing life is included in the tech data sheet.
The manufacturer does not give a coverage area, but other similar adhesives have a 12 to 18 sq ft coverage per gallon.
Cascophen does not carry FAA Approval and is not required to be approved. 8130 cannot be furnished however there is a certificate of analysis available.
As a kit, A&B parts, it has an 8 month shelf life. One year for part A, and 8 months for part B. You will need to contact the prop manufacturer to determine the adhesive they recommend for repair on their prop. Cascophen is a resorcinal-formaldehyde base adhesive
Some typically make larger batches and mix with a paddle or paint mixer on a 1/2 drill. For smaller batches they could just use a spoon or stick of some sort. It would be advised adding the powder to the mixing bucket prior to the liquid as this will reduce the likelihood of the powder getting airborn.
Cascophen is more of an Adhesive, Vacuum bagging will work better with resins such as west system, MGS,Aeropoxy and Makobond.
