It works perfectly. I see some say it wont stick. It does if you paint the area with a coat of polybrush first like the Stits Instructions state.

I did a 32 foot wingspan with flaps and tank bays, had like 4 foot left over, anymore and you,ll need a second roll of this high dollar stuff.

This is not a Poly Fiber problem, nor is it an issue with A/C Spruce. This is a 3M tape provided through and part listed in an STC. Yet the quality is terrible. I ordered 6 rolls. Costly. About 1/3 of each roll is unusable because 3m cant keep the glue on the tape. It appears the tape must roll in the adhesive process and hence the sticky stuff gets all over. Its a gummy mess and i end up just cutting these areas out. 3M should be held to a higher QC if they are supplying aircraft parts through an stc. Or Poly fiber should find another product.

Adhesive does not cover entire tape, and its coverage, and where the adhesive is located ,seems to vary roll to roll. Cant get a good look under the finishing tapes as a result. Expensive and poor quality control.

Q: What kind of adhesive is recommended for use with the Poly-Fiber Reinforcing tape?

This comes with a adhesive backing on the tape as it is a peel and stick.

Q: what exactly is this Poly Fiber reinforcing tape? Is it more Dacron fabric with an adhesive back?

It is a high tensile strength ribbon made from polyester.

Q: What is the thickness of the reinforcing tape in mils? I need this to calculate clearance on some fittings. Thank you.

It is currently 10.5 mils thick.
