P-Leads are a critical part of the ignition system and their good condition is vital to safety and airworthiness. P-leads are often overlooked and seldom replaced because replacement p-leads are not available from the aircraft manufacturer and materials to fabricate new p-leads are not commonly available. Because most leads are shielded, mechanics do not have the materials, tooling or the experience to fabricate p-leads.
These p-leads are fabricated using proper materials, genuine terminal kits and additional strain reliefs. Each lead is inspected and tested. It is the responsibility of the installing agency to certify that the p-lead is airworthy and matches the requirements of the aircraft. |
Great quality product
P-Lead 84 Slick Style
the P-leads are well made , and appear to be of high quality. what i expect from Arcraft Spruce.
Excellent quality and perfect length
A good product.
I was not all that impressed with the endings on these p-leads... they were literally your typical auto-motive electrical-connect crimps. I was not impressed with a few of the crimps so much that I ended up soldering, and insulating them myself.

The unit has a white wire with a terminal, and the ground/shielding is covered with shrink tubing and also has a terminal swaged on it.
This is one lead for one magneto.
Yes, these are shielded.
14 gauge wire.
Grounding the black ground lead at both ends is proper and correct. Typically, the ground lead is connected to the ground terminal on the mag switch. We do not have issues with noise on the radios because of this. An alternator system would be a different matter.
