The G205 grip has five functions which include a PTT and 4 pushbutton switches. The modern design G205 stick grips use four, flush fitting pushbutton switches to control one or two axis electric trim. The grip itself is made of semi-soft UV and oil resistant foam. The upper switch housing is made of nylon with a lightly textured finish. The G205 grips are 5.25” (133 mm) tall. The G205 grips also have a SPDT switch located on the front side of the grip. It is designed to function as a Push-To-Talk (PTT) button. Ray Allen Company modern design stick grips can be wired directly to Ray Allen trim servos. This eliminates the need to wire relays in your trim system. However, if two grips are used, you will need either relays or a switch to transfer the control of trims from one grip to the other. The G1 and G2 series hand grip is made of semi-soft UV and oil resistant foam and the upper switch housing is lightly textured nylon. The G3 series grip is a lightly textured, BASF UV reisistant composite. All Ray Allen Stick Grips come as a complete kit including pre-cut and stripped 26 gage Teflon™ wires. RAC grips are designed to fit a 1” stick diameter with spacers included for easy installation on 3/4”, 7/8” stick tubes. All RAC grips have insets for labels and come with a customized, die-cut label sheet. The G3 grips also include three different colored faceplates (black, light gray and light tan) to compliment your aircraft’s interior colors. |

Looks good ... havent installed as yet, so I cant comment as to its functionality
The grip is overall ok, there is however not enough space for the wires. Giant PITA to assemble.
this should come with color coded wires already soldered to the switches in the handle. For the price, there is no excuse not to have that. After soldering wires to the switch terminals inside the disassembled unit, is very difficult to put it back together. Too little space is allowed for the thickness of the wires. This unit is a pain in the ass.
This stick is a minor project which will become major if you do not have a second pair of hands and the necessary tools to complete. Stick arrives without any pre-wiring. It does include tiny connector wire. It required tweezers for one of us while the other soldered. This is a quality product, but the wiring that must be completed is for pros. We are not pros...LOL. Tools you’ll need: Voltage tester Heat Gun Wire cutter/stripper Tiny screw drivers of various sizes Tweezers..hemostats would be better Soldering Iron and Solder (not acid) Shrink tubing Additional wire to panel Be sure to test current after each connection. Once the cap is reconnected, it’s tough to remove and recheck (trust me 😉). Again, quality product but if you’re not ready to undertake a project either hand it to an A&P or buy something prewired if available.

The stick grip (11-09920) will come exactly as pictured with the four buttons on top. It also includes an instruction manual to show how to hook it up, and what functions these buttons will perform. The image on the instruction manual shows these as being used for trim.
Per the manufacturer, the Ray Allen G205 Stick grip's buttons are Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) Contact switches and would work if the G3x autopilot supports this.
Later switches for the G205 (11-09920) are not sold seperately. Visit rayallencompany.com for repair.
2 of the screws are 9/16" 1-64 thread, pan head screw. The other 2 are 1/4" 1-64 thread, pan head screw. Please refer to the installation manual under the "Documents" tab for more information.
Per Manufacturer - They are all momentary. They can be wired directly to Ray Allen trim servos, eliminating the need to wire relays in your trim system when one grip is used. However, if two grips are used, you will need either relays or a switch to transfer the control of trims from one grip to the other.
