Q: I have a G3X installed and I know that the G3X touch and the plain G3X system cannot comunicate but is there a way that I can use my plain GDU as just a GPS and then I connect the touch up with my excisting module's?
You would have to run the GDU 370/375 completely separate with its own GPS signal and rewire the G3X touch to be the main display with your existing LRUs.
Q: For the Garmin G3X EFIS, do I have to buy the Connector Kits if I buy the Harness kit?
Yes, you would still need to purchase the connector kit in addition to the harness.
Q: What additional connector kits and/or harnesses are needed with K10-00016-40 (single display, no EiS, no XM).
You would need the GDU 460/465 Install Kit (11-12646), GSU 25 Connector Kit (11-11433), and the GMU 22 Install Kit (11-12213).
Q: What wiring is included in the G3X VFR Harness EFIS/EMS 4CYL CON/LYC?
For the VFR harness all of the components including the engine leads are included minus connection to an auto pilot and audio panel (which have there own part numbers on our list). When ordering a G3X system, we will send you a worksheet to fill out for your unique setup.

As each G3X harness we create is unique, there is a form that you would fill out which will includes the features you want including and pricing.
Q: Can I also manually enter squawk code thru my GTN 625 to the GTX 45R?
The GTX 45R is specifically intended for the G3X system and will not directly interface with the GTN 625.
Q: What is the difference in 11-11433 and 11-15303?
11-11433 is the GSU 25 connector kit by itself. Part # 11-15303 is the GSU 25 connector kit with a custom harness.
Q: This page is for the G3X but the only available items here are G3X Touch. Does that mean that the non touch version is no longer available?
The non-touch screens are no longer available. We only offer the touch screen G3X now.
Q: With the GTR 20 there is a 2 place intercom, I have a 4 place airplane, what I have to do to have intercom with the 2 extra places?
You will need to purchase a GMA 245 audio panel or 245R remote audio panel to support a 4 place aircraft.
Q: Regarding the Garmin G3X EFIS: can you display twin engine data?
Per the manual, yes, the G3x can display twin engine data.
Q: What all is included with the dual 10" screen G3x touch with EIS? Are connector kits included?
Included: (2) 10" GDU 460, ADAHRS GSU 25, Magnetometer GMU 22, GEA 24, Temperature Probe GTP 59, Config Mod, w/sockets, Jackscrew. Connector kits are available but sold separately.
Q: What antenna is recommended for the GTX 45R to utilize all functionality?
The unit will require two antennas. One for the transponder portion and one for the GPS portion. Per the manual you can use CI-105 11-17965 (Transponder) GA 35 11-09701 (GPS).
Q: I have a G3X touch system, with one transponder 45R and one GPS 20A, connected with the GA35 antenna. Do I need to install some type of GDL 39R/50R/52R ADS-B traffic/weather receiver to have the ADSB in / out working?
No additional unit is required. The 45R box is in and out ADS-B.
Q: What is the actual size of the unit and what is the dimensions of the required panel cut-out for portrate installation?
The dimensions are 6.01 inch x 7.82 inch x 3.68 inch
Q: Does the GTX 45R come with a mounting rack?
Per the installation manual, yes, a mounting rack is included.
Q: What is the difference between the GTX 345 Remote and the GTX 45R?
The GTX 45R is for experimental aircraft only, meant to integrate to experimental systems like the G3X. The GTX 345R is a certified transponder but can be used in both applications.
Q: Can a Comant Comdat Ci-25 80-200 (Part # 11-11545) be used in lieu of the Ci-105 and GA35?
Unfortunately it cannot as the CI 105 is a transponder antenna and part number 11-11545 is a COM/GPS antenna.
Q: Can I control this with a GNS 480waas as it controls my GTX327 now?
No, this is intended to be used with the G3X system.

Q: Does the GTX 45R require a separate Altitude Encoder?
If this is installed with a G3X system, it will not need an altitude encoder. Altitude data will be provided via the GSU 25 RS-232 port 3 to port 1 of the GTX 45R transponder.
Q: I see there is 3 different pitot tube options. What is the difference between the regulated and unregulated pitot tube?
The heated, regulated version of the GAP 26 (010-010704-20) has a small box with the regulating circuitry that is mounted near the probe. This version of the GAP 26 probe is also equipped with an internal temperature sensor which the regulating circuit uses to only supply as much current as the probe needs to remain ice free. This current, of course, varies with the operating conditions.
