The A-790 vernier control has a .078" dia. stainless steel wire core. Both the wire and Teflon™ lined flexible casing may be shortened as required. The Teflon™ liner provides low friction with heat resistance in high temperature areas such as engine compartments. Furnished with FAA-style knobs (Black, Red & Blue). Max. travel: 3-3/8". Stocked in the following lengths (measurement taken from under the panel nut to end of wire with knob pushed in). Made in USA |
Just what I needed. Perfect length and I didn’t need to cut to fit.
A-790 Control 36 Red Knob
To straighten this control out, FIRST pull center wire out slowly until locking ball FALLS OUT AND IS CAPTURED, then continue to remove center wire and straighten as needed. Reassemble and reinstall locking ball to original position.

Looks like good quality. Looking forward to installing it.

Amazing quick delivery
Looks good
Very well made and Teflon lined so the operation is very smooth. A very large-diameter wire so it does not necessarily fit where the old one came out, but easy modification made it work perfectly.
Because of limited space between the firewall and the carburetor mixture control I had to go with this cable. The usual swivel 2-piece end from the regular vernier control was too long and didnt have enough space in front of the firewall to mount the adel clamp! This control works in that tight situation. Just silver brazed the wire end into a drilled out SS 10-32 screw section. One warning, because of the stiffness of the solid wire and wound spring sheath the bend radii have to be large!
Inner solid wire broke at 1500 Hrs.. ^(
Liked the way it looked when i ordered it and needed something heavy duty but this was not it , recieved the item and the inner cable was broken right out of the box.Now i have to reorder something else.
