I give this product five stars for form fit and function. The coiled wire that gives the tube its structure is embedded in the wall of the material, not just free-floating in the ID of the tube. Great product so far.

Q: I need to order part number 05-29906 SCAT ducting. Do I buy 4 units if I want 4 feet?

Yes, this is priced and sold by the foot, so quantity 4 would order 4 feet.

Q: Does the PN 05-29908 with ID 2 mean it has 2 inches of diameter? Thanks!

Correct, that part number has a 2 inch internal diameter.

Q: Is there a shelf life for Scat and Sceet?

It is a 20 year shelf life for both Scat and Sceet.

Q: What is the O.D. if the I.D. is 3 inches?

3" plus twice the wall thickness 0.098, around 3.20"

Q: Is the length of the tubing the installed length?

We get them in 13 foot lengths but we sell it per foot. It is cut to desired lengths. Inner wire can be trimmed for final installation, if required.

Q: What is the O.D. of the 1-1/2 I.D. Duct and the High Temp Clamps required?

The OD is just over 1-1/2, the wall is thin. We recommend a QS200-20 clamp.

Q: What is the difference between Scat and Sceet? I need duct for high temp heat exhanger on a vehicle.

SCAT - SCAT type ducting has the same type construction as CAT except with red silicone rubber impregnation. For use in conducting extremely cold or hot air with temperatures from -65° to over 550°F. Not recommended for negative pressure applications.

SCEET - SCEET type ducting has two plies of silicone rubber-impregnated fiberglass, similar to SCAT except wire between plies. Ideal for use in conducting extremely cold or hot air at temperatures from -80° to over 550°F, and for conveying fumes. Not recommended for handling liquids or highly abrasive materials, or for negative pressure applications.

Q: Do you sell, or offer any recommendations, scat or sceet crushed down to a flat oval as found in many Cessna Skyhawk cabin heat ducting?

No, we do not offer the ducting pre-crushed. When we ship it is round.

Q: Do I have to remove clear plastic? - I use it as an exhaust extension for my generator.

You would remove the clear plastic, it is on there for shipping.

Q: What is the longest length the MFG makes this product in?

13 foot is full length.
