Overview

These 2 1/4 inch gauges signal the pilot when there is a problem by illuminating a Light Emitting Diode (LED). This warning indicates that an improper range condition has arisen. Two bright LED’s can be set to turn on below and/or above a normal operating range. All gauges use a MS standard 2 1/4" size case with a 270! full sweep analog dial for easy readability with a lightweight design using an aircore meter for rugged trouble free operation. All gauges are electronic and operate from 10 to 30 volts.

Q: With the Opti-Alert fuel quantity gauge (240/30 ohm) can I use a Skysports fuel quantity probe.

This guage is 18-260-1F1 with a 240-30 ohm resistive float sender required. If you can get a Skysports probe with a 240-30 ohm range you will be good to go.

Q: Many resistive senders are 240-33 ohm range. Are they compatible with your 240-30 fuel gauge? Does the missing 3 ohms comprise an accuracy problem?

No, only a 240-30 sender is compatible with this unit.

Q: Can the UMA Opti-alert be used on Type Certified aircraft?

No, this gauge does not hold FAA Approval.

Q: Do I need an UMA Inverter when ordering internal lighting with Part# 10-00179, fuel quantity indicator?

Per Vendor: "All of our lighting, internal and light bezels, require an inverter. It converts the DC power to AC."

Q: With the Opti-Alert fuel quantity gauge with the low level light indicator do I need the light inverter for this to work?

The low level light on the gauge does not require an inverter. If you want the bezel to light up it will require an inverter.
