We replaced a Duke pump with this Weldon pump in our Cardinal RG 900 hours ago. While its normally only used for priming, its also the emergency backup to the engine mechanical fuel pump. Its been working perfectly ever since installation.
Perfect replacement for the Dukes that Cessna originally used.
If ordering the 8100-J pump to replace a 8100 on PA-30 (Twin Comanche), you will also need bracket kit CJ33963-2, available from Quality Aircraft Accessories (QAA.com). Took a few days to figure this out.
I purchased this pump to replace the Dukes pump originally installed in July 2017. It failed after 5 years and only 120 flight hours. The pump is only used for take off and landing as an aux pump so in reality it failed in a much shorter operational time. The warranty is only 18 months or 150hrs so I was out of warranty. I would expect this pump to have lasted longer than it did given the amount of use it had. Because of this and lack of warranty, I only give it two stars.
