Overview

Fabricated from steel and cadmium plated per QQ-P-416A, Type II, Class 3. AN310 castle nuts are used with drilled-shank bolts, clevis bolts, eye bolts and studs. The slots in the nut accommodate a cotter pin for safety purposes. The thinner AN320 castellated shear nut, with half the tensile rating of the AN310 nut, is used with clevis bolts and threaded taper pins which are subject to shearing stress only.

Reviews

All the nuts worked as designed with no defects. Thanks for the quick reimbursements on the AN310 nuts ordered by mistake. ACS is a great company. Jim has a reason to be proud of his staff!

Its astonishing how such a small, inexpensive part as the Maule tail wheel locking spring--a coil about an inch long and less than 1/4 inch in diameter--can affect the performance of an airplane! Aircraft Spruce sent it by first class mail (as I requested) and it arrived in a couple of days. Fits perfectly and easy to install.

I ordered the Maule TW-15A steering arm subassembly. When it arrived, the locking ring had not been machined completely. The lock pin holes were absent and the through hole was undersize. Aircraft spruce was very prompt about helping me diagnose the problem. They sent a replacement immediately and provided a will call tag to return the nonconforming part. I would rate their customer service as top notch.

Q: Does part 06-01291 attach to the spring with one our two holes?

Part # 06-01291 is the two hole version.

Q: What is the tire and tube for Scott 3200 tailwheel?

The Scott 3200 tailwheel uses a 280x250x4 tire, found under our part # 06-01244. The tube can be found under our part # 06-00760.

Q: Do Scott 3200 tailwheel parts interchange with Alaska Bushwheel parts?

They will fit and will work just fine but the mechanic would have to use their discretion. We cannot confirm the PMA approvals are interchangeable.

Q: What is the difference in the length of the standard axle bolt versus the wide axle bolt?

We believe you are asking about the BI-872 bolt which is for the ABI-3400-b tailwheel. This bolt is longer because the ABI-3400-b has a wider fork because it is used with the baby bushwheel tire/wheel combo.

Q: Do the 3200 wheel halves 06-00745 come with the bolts that hold them together?

No the bolts would be separate.

Q: I need items 15&26 on the picture for my Pitts S2B 1986. Which one is correct now as it is solid wheel?

#15 would be TW-59A and #26 would be TW-58A-1 for a Pneumatic wheel or TW-21-1 for solid rubber.
